Preview: Millwall vs. Norwich City

Sports Mole previews Saturday's Championship meeting between Millwall and Norwich City.

Promotion hopefuls Norwich City must produce a quick response against Millwall on Saturday after their fine run of results came to an end in midweek.

Six successive wins ensured that the Canaries were the team to fear in the Championship over the past month, but their charge was brought to an abrupt halt on Wednesday night as Wigan Athletic secured a shock 1-0 win at Carrow Road.

Despite dominating for much of the second half against the Latics, Alex Neil's side were unable to find a breakthrough after heading into the game having scored 16 goals in their previous six matches.

The spotlight will be on the Norwich attack following the defeat, but the visitors will be without Lewis Grabban, who could be out of action until the final few games of the season after it was confirmed that he will need surgery on his ankle.

Another relegation-threatened side stand in the way of Norwich on Saturday, and Ian Holloway's men are desperate to follow Wigan's example as they look to stay in touch with the teams outside the relegation zone.

Tuesday's 3-0 loss to Middlesbrough made it four defeats in five games for Millwall, who are six points adrift of safety and have only won twice since Christmas.

The Lions will be keen to avoid a repeat of the result when these two sides last met on Boxing Day, when braces from Bradley Johnson and Gary Hooper handed Norwich a 6-1 victory.

Ricardo Fuller is pushing for a recall to the Millwall attack, which means that Lee Gregory could be forced to settle for a place on the bench at The Den.

Neil is unlikely to make major changes to his side, but Wes Hoolahan could be handed a spot in the starting lineup after coming off the bench against Wigan.

Millwall:

Recent form: WLDLLL

Possible starting lineup: Forde, Abdou, Hooiveld, Dunne, Harding, Tonge, Williams, Woolford, Fabbrini, Taylor-Fletcher, Fuller

Norwich:

Recent form: WWWWWL

Possible starting lineup: Ruddy, Whittaker, Martin, Bassong, Olsson, Redmond, Howson, Johnson, Dorrans, Hoolahan, Jerome

Sports Mole says: 0-3
