Jonny Howson: 'Norwich City determined to avoid relegation'

Norwich City midfielder Jonny Howson has insisted that the players are determined to avoid another relegation from the Premier League.

The Canaries dropped out of the top flight in the 2013-14 campaign but bounced back immediately last season after emerging victorious from the Championship playoffs.

Norwich's first game back in the Premier League ended in a 3-1 defeat to Crystal Palace at Carrow Road on Saturday.

"The majority of the squad is still here from when we got relegated two years ago," he told BBC Radio Norfolk.

"It's not a nice feeling and not something we want to go through again so we'll be giving it our all."

Norwich travel to Sunderland on Saturday.
