Neil Adams: 'Norwich City should have won against Brighton'

Adams: 'Norwich should have won'

Norwich City boss Neil Adams has claimed that his side should have beaten Brighton & Hove Albion after seeing them earn a late 3-3 draw at Carrow Road.

The Canaries left it until the 86-minute mark to claim a share of the spoils on Saturday as Gary Hooper found the net to end their two-game losing run.

However, Adams believes that some poor finishing in front of goal earlier in the match cost them dearly come the final whistle.

"A point is a point but it should have been three," he told BBC Sport. "The critical point of the game was when we were leading 2-1. We had three or four chances to put the game to bed but we didn't take them.

"If we had gone 3-1 ahead, as we should have done, I am sure we would have gone on to win the game comfortably but we didn't put the game to bed and we were punished for it."

Norwich return to action next Saturday when they host Reading in the Championship.
