Cobblers duo Chris Wilder, Ricky Holmes take January League Two honours

Northampton Town have done the double in League Two's latest monthly awards, with Chris Wilder named Manager of the Month for January and Ricky Holmes collecting the Best Player award.

The Cobblers gathered a maximum 12-point haul in January under Wilder to shoot to the top of the league and comfortably clear of those chasing the automatic-promotion places.

Holmes recently returned from injury and was key to Northampton maintaining their form last month.

The striker scored twice, including a volleyed winner at Dagenham & Redbridge, as well as teeing up his teammates for two other goals.
