Chris Wilder up for League Two Manager of the Month award

Northampton Town boss Chris Wilder has been nominated for League Two's Manager of the Month award for October.

A turbulent few weeks for the Cobblers off the field has made Wilder's life all the more difficult, but 13 points from a possible 18 has left his team in playoff contention.

Derek Adams, whose Plymouth Argyle side currently boast a five-point lead at the summit, is also in the running for the monthly accolade, as is Oxford United's Michael Appleton.

The U's lost just one game in October, a 3-2 defeat against Barnet, which leaves them hot on the heels of the Pilgrims.

Mark Yates completes the list of nominees following an impressive few weeks for Crawley Town, which culminated in a 1-0 win over York City at the weekend.

The winner will be announced on Friday morning.
