Valenciennes continued their unbeaten start to the season with a goalless draw against Nice at Stade du Hainaut.

Nice, who looked the slightly more likely side to break the deadlock, went close early on through a long-range effort from Didier Digard that whistled just wide.

The game was very tight and a draw always looked a likely result. However, Nemanja Pejcinovic almost stole victory for the visitors in the dying moments.

The Serbian's bullet header forced Valenciennes goalkeeper Nicolas Penneteau into a superb sprawling save.
