Hatem Ben Arfa scores in Nice win over Caen

Midfielder Hatem Ben Arfa scores for Nice in their victory at home to Caen.

Hatem Ben Arfa scored his second goal in as many games as Nice registered their first victory of the season against Caen.

It was the visitors who looked threatening in the opening stages with Andy Delort and Vincent Bessat going close to a breakthrough.

Delort was denied by a save by Mouez Hassan before Valere Germain's strike was stopped by Remi Vercoutre at the other end as neither side could edge in front before the break.

However, it was Nice who took the lead on 66 minutes when Ben Arfa smashed the ball into the roof of Vercoutre's net.

Their advantage lasted only a minute as Delort latched onto Lenny Nangis's cross before steering his effort into the top corner.

Nice snatched victory late on after Alassane Plea tried his luck from the edge of the area and beat Vercoutre low to his right.
