Report: Ayoze Perez staying at Newcastle United

Newcastle United forward Ayoze Perez will reportedly not be sold by the club during the transfer window.

The Spaniard, 22, had been linked with a move to Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur.

Perez scored seven goals for the Magpies last season after joining them for £1m from Tenerife.

Despite speculation over his future, he is expected to remain at St James' Park for the immediate future, according to Sky Sports News.

Perez has failed to find the net in three appearances for Newcastle this term.
