Newcastle United are reportedly interested in signing West Bromwich Albion defender Craig Dawson.
The 25-year-old was linked with a move to Derby County while Magpies head coach Steve McClaren was their manager.
Dawson has been at The Hawthorns since leaving Rochdale in 2010.
According to ESPN, McClaren is a big admirer of Dawson and is eyeing up a move for the centre-back.
Dawson made 35 appearances for West Brom last season in all competitions.
