Newcastle United will complete the signing of Luuk de Jong before Tuesday, according to reports.
The Magpies were linked to the Borussia Monchengladbach striker, who has also been a target for Ajax and PSV Eindhoven, earlier this week.
Sky Sports News claims that the club will finalise the deal in time for Tuesday's Premier League clash with Norwich City.
The 23-year-old has scored just once in the Bundesliga this season.
