Newcastle United 'preparing £10m Sheyi Ojo bid'

Newcastle United are reportedly preparing to launch a £10m bid for Liverpool attacker Sheyi Ojo.

Ojo, who helped England Under-20s win the Under-20 World Cup earlier this summer, has been with Liverpool since 2011, and the winger has scored once in 13 first-team appearances for the Reds.

The 20-year-old only made two appearances last season, however, after returning from a back problem in November.

According to The Sun, Newcastle have previously been knocked back in a loan approach for Ojo, but the Magpies are now readying a £10m bid in order to test Liverpool's resolve.

Middlesbrough have also been credited with an interest in a player that has represented Wigan Athletic and Wolverhampton Wanderers on loan in the Championship.
