Newcastle 'name price for Leeds target Darlow'

Leeds United have reportedly been told by Newcastle United to hand over £4m if they wish to sign goalkeeper Karl Darlow.

The Championship leaders are said to have contacted Newcastle with regards to a loan deal in the January transfer window.

However, The Mirror claims that Newcastle would rather get the 28-year-old off their books permanently as they already have three other senior keepers.

Leeds are in the market for a back-up to Bailey Peacock-Farrell and must now decide whether to meet the Magpies' valuation or look elsewhere for a loan signing.

Darlow, whose only appearance this season came in the EFL Cup loss to Nottingham Forest in August, is also believed to be on Aston Villa's radar.
