Newcastle United captain Fabricio Coloccini is hopeful that the club will continue to improve the squad this summer.
Alan Pardew did some rewarding transfer business last season as they brought in players such as Yohan Cabaye, Demba Ba and Papiss Cisse.
Those signings helped the Magpies to a fifth-place finish in the Premier League and Coloccini is optimistic that further acquisitions can help take Newcastle to the next level.
He told the Newcastle Chronicle: "We'll have to wait and see, but I hope so. It is going to be interesting. Hatem [Ben Arfa] and Yohan are back now, too. That can only boost our players here. We want to see them back and fit again."
The club have been linked with moves for French pair Mathieu Debuchy and Loic Remy, who play for Lille and Marseille respectively.
