Newcastle United's Papiss Cisse close to Rubin Kazan move?

Papiss Cisse's Newcastle United future remains in doubt following reports that he could be on the move to Rubin Kazan.

It is believed that the Russian outfit have turned to Cisse after their attempts to sign PSV Eindhoven forward Tim Matavz fell through.

Kazan, who have had a long-standing interest in Cisse, are willing to pay up to £9m for the player, according to The Chronicle.

The Russian transfer window closes on February 27.
