Agent: 'Newcastle United's Papiss Cisse targeted by Russian clubs'

Newcastle United striker Papiss Cisse is a transfer target for a host of Russian clubs, according to his agent Nickolay Guido.

The Senegal international has been linked with a move to big-money outfit Anzhi Makhachkala following their Europa League meeting with the Magpies during the season.

"Russian clubs have shown interest in Papiss at the same time, but I don't want to name the names of the clubs as it wouldn't be a correct step from me," Sky Sports News quotes Guido as saying.

Cisse moved to St James' Park from SC Freiburg last year.
