New Newcastle United signing Vurnon Anita will make his first start for the Magpies in their Europa League encounter with Atromitos tonight.

Newcastle United new boy Vurnon Anita has been handed his first start with the North-East side for their Europa League clash against Atromitos.

The midfielder will line up alongside fellow summer arrival Gael Bigirimana, while Mike Williamson has been awarded the captaincy following manager Alan Pardew's decision to ring the changes for this evening's match.

Ryan Taylor has secured a place in defence, while Fabricio Coloccini, midfielder Cheick Tiote and strikers Demba Ba and Shola Ameobi were not available to travel.

While there were reports that teenager Adam Campbell could feature for the Magpies, the player has not made the cut in the starting XI.

Atromitos: Itandje; Skondras, Giannoulis, Fitanidis, Beljic; Lazaridis, Brito, Iglesias, Dimoutsos; Epstein, Kuqi
