Newcastle to report alleged abuse

Newcastle United are to make a formal complaint to Den Haag after several of their players were allegedly racially abused in a friendly yesterday.

Stars Papiss Demba Cisse, Cheick Tiote and Demba Ba were victims of monkey chants by a minority of Den Haag fans during their 0-0 draw in Holland yesterday, according to The Mirror.

Newcastle released a statement saying: "In reference to alleged racist chants reported during the game the club will be raising the matter with officials of Den Haag which will be dealt with privately."

Toon boss Alan Pardew declined to comment.
