Newcastle United's Yohan Cabaye: 'I need time to relax, I'm tired'

Newcastle United midfielder Yohan Cabaye admits that he is starting to tire as he prepares to sit out of this weekend's clash against Southampton.

Newcastle United midfielder Yohan Cabaye has insisted that he 'needs' to relax while serving a suspension for the Magpies.

The Frenchman will be unavailable for his side's clash against Southampton after picking up a one-match ban for a fifth booking this season.

"I'm going to relax because, with the national team, I'm starting to be a bit tired," Cabaye told nufcTV. "So I'm going to enjoy my week, to stay relaxed and get some treatment, because I need it."

Cabaye has been linked with a move away from St James' Park following rumours of interest from Paris Saint-Germain.
