Alan Pardew: 'I won't walk away from Newcastle United job'

Pardew: "I won't walk away"

Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew has admitted that will not step down as manager at St James' Park, despite growing unrest among the supporters.

A number of disgruntled fans have called on the club to end Pardew's four-year stint after suffering six consecutive defeats in the Premier League.

When asked in Thursday's press conference if he will leave, Pardew said: "No, I won't walk away. I love this job and I am going too fight as long as I can for it. That's what I have always done.

"I have been in tricky situations before. This is a situation where I perhaps need to dig deep, and I have got no problem in doing that. I will dig deep on Saturday and make sure I make the right decisions to get us a win."

Newcastle will take on struggling side Cardiff City on home turf this Saturday.
