John O'Shea: 'Jack Colback is Newcastle United's danger man'

Sunderland defender John O'Shea highlights the threat that Jack Colback gives Newcastle United ahead of the Tyne-Wear derby.

Sunderland defender John O'Shea has highlighted the threat that Jack Colback will provide for Newcastle United ahead of this Sunday's derby.

The Magpies midfielder made a controversial switch to St James' Park from the Black Cats in the summer, and O'Shea is aware of his former teammate's qualities.

He told the Daily Mail: "Colback has been one of their best performers this season and we know what he's capable of. He did it to Newcastle last season.

"I'm sure whoever is playing in midfield [for Sunderland], Jack will be looking to get right into them and likewise for us as well."

Meanwhile, Newcastle boss Alan Pardew has revealed that he has been discussing Sunderland's tactics with Colback ahead of the game.
