Michael Laudrup interested in Newcastle United, West Ham United jobs?

Michael Laudrup is interested in returning to Premier League management with Newcastle United or West Ham United, according to a report.

Former Swansea City manager Michael Laudrup is reportedly interested in a return to the Premier League with Newcastle United or West Ham United.

The Dane's contract as manager of Lekhwiya runs out next month and the 50-year-old is expected to consider his future after the Qatar club play their AFC Champions League game against Al-Saad on Tuesday.

Newcastle are expected to part ways with head coach John Carver after their narrow escape from relegation this season, while West Ham have already announced that they will not be renewing the contract of Sam Allardyce.

Laudrup stated last week that he would not be interested in taking charge of a mid-table side, but it is thought that he was not referring to Newcastle or West Ham with his comments.

He spent 18 months in charge of Swansea from June 2012, guiding the club to their first trophy in 100 years by winning the 2013 League Cup and comfortably securing their Premier League safety.

Laudrup would be attracted to both the Newcastle or West Ham jobs if he is approached, according to The Telegraph.

Laudrup was sacked by Swansea in February 2014.
