Tim Krul says that he expects to fully recover from a shoulder injury for the start of Newcastle United's 2013-14 season.

Newcastle United goalkeeper Tim Krul has suggested that he will return to action for the Magpies at the start of the 2013-14 season.

The 25-year-old has been out of action since April last season when he suffered a dislocated shoulder during a defeat to Sunderland.

Krul wrote on Twitter: "Just finished my first proper gym session of the new season. Shoulder is coming on well. Can't wait for season to start."

Rob Elliot replaced Krul while the Dutchman was on the sidelines.
