Gosling fined £30k for betting breaches

Newcastle United midfielder Dan Gosling has been fined £30,000 by the Football Association after admitting multiple breaches of its betting rules.

The 24-year-old has also been warned regarding his future conduct following an Independent Regulatory Commission hearing.

Gosling, who had requested a personal hearing, was charged with misconduct earlier this month.

"Newcastle United's Dan Gosling has been fined £30,000, subject to any appeal, and warned as to his future conduct following an Independent Regulatory Commission hearing," read an official FA statement.

Gosling joined Blackpool on loan in October before returning to Newcastle at the start of 2014.
