Yohan Cabaye is refusing to get carried away by Newcastle United's continued push for a Champions League place.

Newcastle United midfielder Yohan Cabaye has refused to get carried away by the side's continued push for Champions League football.

Yesterday's 3-0 win over Stoke City has seen the Magpies take sole control of the final qualification spot for Europe's elite competition.

Despite their healthy position, Cabaye has insisted that the club are just taking it one game at a time.

"We have got big confidence on the pitch. We just want to keep going," said the Frenchman. "The next thing is to be focused on the Wigan match. That's the most important thing.

"After, we can see what happens, but we have to think match by match. We can do something special for the team."

Cabaye scored twice during the victory over the Potters.
