Mehdi Abeid has tipped in-form Newcastle United teammate Ayoze Perez to achieve "big things" at the club.
Perez, a summer signing from Tenerife, continues to defy his £1.5m price-tag after scoring his third goal in as many games against West Bromwich Albion on Sunday.
"We know he can do big things for us. Perez could be a big player for us," Abeid told The Express.
"He is very technical, a very good player. We can see in training he has some great skills and he showed it against West Bromwich."
The 21-year-old, who has also scored winning goals against Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool in recent weeks, has helped the Magpies up to eighth in the Premier League table.
