Team News: Newcastle United ring the changes for Northampton Town clash

Newcastle United have made multiple changes for their League Cup clash with Northampton Town, which includes a first start for winger Florian Thauvin.

The Frenchman signed for the club last week and made his debut against Manchester United on Saturday as a second-half substitute.

There are also starts for the likes of Mike Williamson, Yoann Gouffran, Rolando Aarons, Siem de Jong and Ayoze Perez.

League Two side Northampton have named new signing Adam Yates in their team, while former Cobblers player Ivan Toney sits on the Newcastle bench.
