Newcastle United captain Fabricio Coloccini is reportedly facing one month on the sidelines with a calf injury.
The Argentine is believed to have suffered the problem during the warm-down of a 2-1 win over Lillestrom in a friendly last weekend.
According to ITV Sport, Coloccini will be assessed by Newcastle's medical team ahead of the club's next game, which is a Premier League match against Stoke City on March 2.
The centre-back did not feature in the friendly and the captain's armband was handed to January arrival Jonjo Shelvey.
