Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew has claimed that his side can win the Europa League if they beat Metalist Kharkiv on Thursday.
The Magpies travel to the Ukraine having drawn the first leg of their last-32 tie 0-0 at St James' Park last week.
"If I put my best team up against any team in this competition, I'd feel confident," Pardew told the club's official website.
"I've not really had that opportunity but we're a lot stronger on Thursday and therefore if we get through this tie I think we have as good a chance as anybody else."
Newcastle's last European triumph came in 2006 when they won the Intertoto Cup.
