Netherlands forward Wesley Sneijder has said that next week's friendly against Germany will have no bearing on Euro 2012.
The 27-year-old believes that Tuesday's match in Hamburg will only serve as a chance for both teams to better themselves.
"The game against Germany is not important for the European Championships," Sniejder told ANP. "Why would it be? It's not as if we get extra points for the Euros.
"They're a good opponent to practice against. We will have to give our full concentration against Germany to win.
"Germany speak quite rightly about winning the European title. In that respect, Tuesday will see two teams who both feel they can win the European Championships."
Sneijder featured in his country's goalless draw with Switzerland on Tuesday.
