Netherlands midfielder Wesley Sniejder believes that victory at Euro 2012 will be more difficult than winning the World Cup.
The Oranje travel to Eastern Europe as one of the pre-tournament favourites, but find themselves in the 'Group of Death' alongside Germany, Portugal and Denmark.
The Inter Milan star said that there are no easy games when it comes to the European Championships, due to a stronger clutch of teams.
Bert Van Marwijk's men were beaten by Spain in the World Cup final in South Africa two years ago.
It was the third time that they have finished runners-up in the competition, but Sneijder believes that glory in Eastern Europe will prove to be a far greater challenge.
"For me, the Euros is more difficult than the World Cup," said Sneijder. "You don't have the teams from Africa or wherever when you know you are going to take three points. "Now it's more difficult because there are only strong teams. We have a tough group. First we have to pass the group and then we will see.
"In a tournament, you need a lot of things, you need some luck as well, you need that everybody stays fit."
Netherlands won the European Championships in 1988.
