Report: Napoli want Alvaro Arbeloa

Napoli are reportedly interested in signing Real Madrid defender Alvaro Arbeloa in the January transfer window.

The Spaniard is no longer first choice at Madrid, with Dani Carvajal nailing down the right-back position at the Bernabeu.

Arbeloa is still highly regarded around Europe, however, with a number of clubs believed to be interested in a move.

According to fichajes.net, Napoli boss Rafa Benitez wants to be reunited with the defender that he coached at Liverpool.

Arbeloa recently retired from international duty.
