Rafael Benitez targets second place

Napoli manager Rafael Benitez says that his side are confident of finishing second in Serie A this season.

Napoli manager Rafael Benitez has said that his side are confident of finishing second in Serie A this season.

The Partenopei are third in the table and trail Roma by nine points, but Benitez believes that their exit from European football will help improve their league form.

"Our aim is to keep on targeting Roma in second," Yahoo Sport quotes him as saying.

"We just have to concentrate on our own jobs, keep on winning and see what happens. After the Juventus game we'll have only one match a week and things should ease up."

Napoli are in action this evening when they face Juventus at the Stadio San Paolo in Naples.
