Napoli's Marek Hamsik: 'We beat a strong team'

Marek Hamsik is delighted with the performance of Napoli against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League on Wednesday.

Napoli midfielder Marek Hamsik has revealed his delight at beating Borussia Dortmund in the first game of their Champions League campaign in Group F.

Hamsik said that coach Rafae; Benitez played him in a more advanced position on the night, but was pleased with the partnership he struck with Gonzalo Higuain.

"It was a very difficult game against a very strong side," he told UEFA.com. "We took to the field to win, and we've done it.

"I played a bit further forward than usual. I'd never played this position before, but I get on well with the runs Higuaín makes."

Napoli's next Champions League game is away to Arsenal on October 1.
