Wednesday's Copa Libertadores predictions including Palmeiras vs. Sporting Cristal

Nacional vs. Atletico Nacional (Wednesday, 11.00pm)

With only pride to play for during the remaining moments of the group stage, Nacional welcome Atletico Nacional to Estadio Gran Parque Central in the Copa Libertadores on Wednesday evening.

Bolsilludo are unable to make a top-two finish regardless of the results on matchday six, whilst Los Verdolagas are aiming to secure first place in the section.

We say: Nacional 0-1 Atletico Nacional

Already out of contention to make the knockout stages, Nacional could be low on motivation for Wednesday night's clash at Estadio Gran Parque Central.

In theory, this should allow Atletico Nacional to sweep in and claim all three points, taking top spot in Group F at the same time.

Internacional vs. Bahia (Wednesday, 11.00pm)

Battling for a place in the knockout rounds of this year's Copa Libertadores, two Brazilian sides will clash in Porto Alegre on Wednesday night, as Internacional play host to Bahia.

Second-placed Inter are one point clear of their compatriots in Group F, with just the top two going through, so they only need a home draw to progress.

We say: Internacional 2-2 Bahia

There could be at least one late twist in this game, as Bahia have scored all of their Libertadores goals in the second half this season, while Internacional have netted the joint-most of any side during the final 10 minutes.

Given home advantage, inconsistent Inter should have just enough gas in the tank to deny their domestic rivals and reach the last 16.

Flamengo vs. Tachira (Thursday, 1.30am)

Flamengo welcome Venezuelan club Deportivo Tachira to the Maracana on Wednesday night in a must-win matchday six Copa Libertadores clash for the Brazilian giants.

A sub-par group stage campaign so far means the 2019 and 2022 champions are at risk of suffering elimination on the final matchday this midweek, with LDU Quito waiting to pounce.

We say: Flamengo 4-0 Deportivo Tachira

With five defeats from five so far, there is little down for Tachira here at the Maracana, and Flamengo will be determined to win by a healthy margin, with goal difference set to play its part in the order in which the top two are placed.

The hosts are hitting form at the perfect time, performing well both domestically and on the continent, and there will be few betting against them in this one.

LDU Quito vs. C. Cordoba (Thursday, 1.30am)

Both looking to squeeze into the knockout rounds of the competition, LDU Quito and Central Cordoba clash at Estadio Rodrigo Paz Delgado in the Copa Libertadores on Wednesday night.

La Casa Blanca have suffered a difficult period on the domestic front of late, whilst El Ferroviario are set to defy pre-season expectations.

We say: LDU Quito 2-0 Central Cordoba

With Flamengo likely to beat Tachira with ease, LDU Quito need a convincing success over Central Cordoba to have a chance of reaching the knockout stages.

We feel that the hosts will get the job done in Ecuador on Wednesday night, when El Ferroviario could suffer their first defeat of the competition.

Palmeiras vs. Cristal (Thursday, 1.30am)

Even an improbable win in Sao Paulo may not be enough for Sporting Cristal to stay in this year's Copa Libertadores, as they visit Group G winners Palmeiras on Wednesday.

While the hosts have already secured their place in the knockout rounds, Cristal trail second-placed Cerro Porteno by three points and also have an inferior goal difference.

We say: Palmeiras 2-0 Sporting Cristal

Though Cristal will be more motivated, their hopes of qualifying for the next round are only paper thin.

Even a rotated Palmeiras side would have too much firepower for the Peruvians to handle, so they are set to finish third and slip into the Sudamericana.

Bolivar vs. Cerro Porteno (Thursday, 1.30am)

Visitors Cerro Porteno will aim to secure their place in the round of 16 of the Copa Libertadores on Thursday by avoiding defeat against Bolivar at Estadio Hernando Siles.

Bolivar are fourth in their four-team group with three points but have already been eliminated, while the away side are second with seven points following their 1-0 win against Sporting Cristal on May 14 and need just one point to advance.

We say: Bolivar 1-1 Cerro Porteno

Cerro Porteno have been strong from a defensive perspective in recent weeks, and they may be able to limit the number of opportunities their hosts can create.

Bolivar's record at home is phenomenal, but considering they are in poor overall form, they could be held to a draw on Thursday.
