Angel Martinez links up with Millwall after Blackpool exit

Former Blackpool midfielder Angel Martinez has signed a one-year contract with Millwall.

Martinez, 28, left fellow Championship side Blackpool this summer after three seasons and 73 appearances for the Tangerines, and now links up with former manager Ian Holloway at The Den.

"I have stayed in touch with Ian Holloway since he left Blackpool, and for me he is a special manager," Martinez told the club website.

"We had a great season there when we reached the Championship playoff final at Wembley and I hope we can have success here too."

Millwall are fifth in the table after the first month of the season.
