Football Association investigating Jose Semedo's alleged spit at Grant Leadbitter

The Football Association is reportedly looking into allegations that Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Jose Semedo spat at Middlesbrough captain Grant Leadbitter.

The Football Association has reportedly begun an investigation to find out whether Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Jose Semedo spat at opposition player Grant Leadbitter.

Middlesbrough captain Leadbitter was angry with Semedo after an incident during the second half of Saturday's Championship match at Hillsborough, which Wednesday won 2-0.

According to the Teesside Gazette this afternoon, the FA is aware of the alleged incident and looking into it.

Referee Stephen Martin didn't see the altercation and it wasn't included in his post-match report.
