Middlesbrough captain Grant Leadbitter insists they can beat Arsenal in FA Cup

Middlesbrough captain Grant Leadbitter has said that his team believe they can beat Arsenal in the FA Cup fifth round at the Emirates Stadium.

Middlesbrough captain Grant Leadbitter has said that his team believe they can beat Arsenal in the FA Cup fifth round at the Emirates Stadium.

Boro have won seven of their last eight, including the 2-0 triumph over Manchester City in round four, and are unbeaten in 2015, putting them second in the Championship.

Leadbitter told the Boro website: "It's going to be a very tough trip to the Emirates but we've prepared right and trained properly so we'll go there and try to win the game and get through to the next round. We have to go there and play well because they're a good side who can score goals.

"At Man City no-one expected us to win and no-one expects us to win on Sunday - but as a group of players we believe. And when you believe you have a chance. We'll work hard, play our game and try to win.

"The manager has brought into the group that we can win every type of game. Teams that want to pass the ball or others that want to battle and scrap and that's when we roll our sleeves up. You have to do that to do well at this football club and the manager's made sure we do that.

"We take each game as it comes and we want to pass the ball like Arsenal do. We'll work hard to hopefully come away with the win.

"Football has never changed, it's 11 v 11. We've got good players and they've got players. It will be a good game but also a tough game for both sides. We'll go there and do our best."

Boro have sold out their 5,280 allocation at the Emirates for the game, which kicks off at 4pm on Sunday.
