Marseille hope to see Abou Diaby begin training within three weeks

Marseille manager Michel hopes to see former France international Abou Diaby return to training within three weeks following his move from Arsenal.

Abou Diaby is expected to start full training for Marseille within the next three weeks.

The former France international joined the Ligue 1 side earlier this summer after being released by Arsenal, where he spent nine years.

While Diaby is seemingly yet to take training with his new side, manager Michel told reporters that he hopes to see the 29-year-old midfielder return in two to three weeks.

The 29-year-old played one first-team game for Arsenal last season, and made just 180 appearances during his entire spell in North London.
