Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane is reportedly determined to sign sign Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba as his power struggle with Florentino Perez continues.

Zinedine Zidane has reportedly not given up on signing Paul Pogba and has demanded that Florentino Perez back him in his pursuit of the Manchester United midfielder.

Los Blancos continued their busy summer of transfer activity last week by adding Eden Hazard to their squad in a deal worth around £89m.

Still angry from last season's poor campaign, however, a large number of the estimated 50,000 Madrid supporters inside the Bernabeu chanted the name of Kylian Mbappe at Hazard's unveiling on Thursday.

Zidane is said to have admitted defeat in his attempt to sign the French striker, but the Daily Mail suggests that he is more confident of striking a deal for Pogba.

As his power struggle with president Perez continues, the report indicates that Zidane is not willing to back down in his long-running battle to sign his compatriot.

The 26-year-old has admitted that he would be interested in linking up with Zidane in the Spanish capital, but it will take a big offer - more than the £89m United paid Juventus for the midfielder in 2016 - if the Red Devils are to be persuaded.
