Raphael Varane to decide on Man Utd deal 'in 48 hours'

Raphael Varane will reportedly make a decision on whether to move to Man Utd in the next 48 hours.

Alex Ferguson has lodged an £9 million offer for the 18-year-old defender, whose club Lens were relegated from Ligue 1 last season.

Other bidders for Varane include Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain.

"Given the clubs involved, it would be very hard to stop him [from moving]," Lens president Gervais Martel told La Voix du Nord today. "I hope this will be finalised in the next 48 hours. I have just spent four hours on the phone, and there are many things to settle."
