Manchester United prepare Asmir Begovic bid

Manchester United are thought to preparing an £8m bid for Stoke City goalkeeper Asmir Begovic.

Sir Alex Ferguson is unhappy with the performances of Anders Lindegaard and David de Gea this season and is seeking an alternative, according to the Daily Mail.

Begovic has kept seven clean sheets so far this campaign, conceding just 15 goals in as many games.

Stoke manager Tony Pulis has angrily declared that none of his players is for sale in January despite reported interest in the Bosnian international from United and Liverpool.
