Report: Manchester United turn attentions to Everton's Seamus Coleman

United 'make move' for Seamus Coleman

Manchester United are planning a bid for Everton right-back Seamus Coleman, according to reports.

The Irishman was heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford a year ago but a move never materialised.

However, ESPN claims that United boss Louis van Gaal is a long-term fan of the 26-year-old, and thinks that now is the time to make a move to bring him to Manchester.

United are reportedly keen to strengthen at right-back in this window, and have been linked with moves for Dani Alves and Nathaniel Clyne in the past.

Coleman joined Everton from Silgo Rovers in 2009.
