Neville, Hitzlsperger, Mucha to leave Everton

Trio to leave Everton

Phil Neville, Thomas Hitzlsperger and Jan Mucha will leave Everton when their contracts expire this summer.

The decision comes just hours after former Wigan Athletic boss Roberto Martinez was announced as the new manager of the Merseyside club, following the departure of David Moyes to Manchester United.

Neville spent eight years at Goodison Park, while German midfielder Thomas Hitzlsperger arrived at the club in October on a short-term deal. Slovakian goalkeeper Jan Mucha leaves the club after three years as Tim Howard's understudy.

Sam Kelly, 19, and 20-year-old Johan Hammar will also leave the club in the summer.
