Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly offered the chance to sign former Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny from Juventus as they search for successors to Hugo Lloris.

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly been offered the chance to sign Juventus number one and former Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny.

The Poland international is out of contract at the Allianz Stadium in under two years' time, and speculation over his long-term future has begun to intensify.

Manchester United are believed to be considering a move for Szczesny, with Erik ten Hag preparing for the possible departure of David de Gea on a free transfer next summer.

Tottenham could also be in the market for a new shot-stopper to succeed Hugo Lloris, whose deal does not expire until 2024, but the France captain has been criticized for his performances this term.

According to 90Min, Tottenham have been offered Szczesny by intermediaries, and the North London club have not completely ruled out the idea of signing the ex-Arsenal man.

However, the report adds that Spurs are not actively pursuing a deal for Szczesny, nor are Juve considering a sale anytime soon, and the 32-year-old's Arsenal connections makes a move extremely unlikely.

After losing his spot as number one to Petr Cech, Szczesny spent two years on loan at Roma between 2015 and 2017 before signing for Juventus to succeed the legendary Gianluigi Buffon.

Szczesny has made a name for himself with the Serie A giants, making 190 appearances for the Old Lady in all competitions and keeping 76 clean sheets.

The Polish shot-stopper has won three Serie A titles, two Coppa Italias and two Supercoppa Italianas during his time with the Bianconeri, and he has only conceded three goals in nine Serie A games this term - keeping seven clean sheets.

Szczesny was given the nod to start in goal for Poland's World Cup 2022 Group C opener with Mexico on Tuesday, and he kept a clean sheet in a goalless draw.

A number of other goalkeepers are also believed to be on Tottenham's radar as they plan for life without Lloris, with recently-ousted Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy among them.

The Senegal international has been demoted to second choice at Stamford Bridge behind Kepa Arrizabalaga and is understood to be considering his future at the club as a result.

The same report states that Mendy has also been offered to Spurs, but it remains to be seen if they will act on that proposal after Mendy failed to cover himself in glory during Senegal's opening World Cup loss to the Netherlands.

Everton's Jordan Pickford, Brighton & Hove Albion's Robert Sanchez, Brentford's David Raya are also mentioned as targets, but all three are thought to be on Man United's radar too.

Porto and Portugal number one Diogo Costa has also been linked, but the 23-year-old recently signed a new long-term deal with the Primeira Liga giants until 2027.
