Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has confirmed that Cristiano Ronaldo will feature in Sunday's friendly against Rayo Vallecano.
The 37-year-old has indicated that he wishes to leave Old Trafford this summer, and he is yet to participate in pre-season after missing the tour of Thailand and Australia due to family reasons.
As a result, Ronaldo has not played for United since the 4-0 defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion on the final day of the 2021-22 Premier League season.
On Friday, the Portugal international indicated his attendance for Sunday's friendly against Rayo Vallecano, replying to a post on Instagram: "Sunday, the King plays."
Ten Hag has since confirmed that Ronaldo will play a part in the encounter against the La Liga club.
Talking to reporters after Saturday's 1-0 defeat to Atletico Madrid in Oslo, the United head coach said: "Tomorrow he will be in the squad. We'll see how long he can play."
The former Ajax manager also stated that none of the players that started against Atletico will participate in Sunday's friendly.
