Southampton 'waiting for Man United to make Williams decision'

Manchester United have reportedly not yet decided whether to loan out Brandon Williams this month.

The 20-year-old was a regular for the Red Devils last season, making 36 appearances in all competitions, and he signed a new long-term contract with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side in August.

The youngster is behind both Luke Shaw and Alex Telles when it comes to the left-back spot at Old Trafford, though, and he has been restricted to just five first-team appearances this season.

According to Sky Sports News, Southampton want to sign the defender on loan, while there is also said to be interest from another three Premier League clubs.

The report, though, claims that United are yet to decide whether to allow Williams to leave on loan as the England Under-21s international also provides cover at right-back.

Newcastle United and Bayer Leverkusen have both recently been mentioned as potential suitors for a player who was left out of the squad against Manchester City in the EFL Cup on Wednesday night.
