Manchester United forward Alexis Sanchez will reportedly only move to Inter Milan on a permanent deal if he is prepared to take a significant pay-cut.
While United have allowed Sanchez to spend the season on loan at San Siro, there is no option for a full-time switch to be pushed through in the summer.
However, with the Chile international having featured regularly since recovering from injury, it has been suggested that the 31-year-old and the Italian giants are open to continuing their partnership.
Tuttosport claims that one stumbling block could be the player's wages at Old Trafford, said to be in the region of £400,000 per week.
The report says that Inter do not have the resources to commit to such a pay packet, requiring the attacker to play for considerably less money if he wishes to continue his career in Serie A.
Sanchez has contributed one goal from five starts and seven substitute appearances in all competitions this season.
