Cristiano Ronaldo reportedly received a six-figure bonus from Manchester United earlier this month.
The Portugal international has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford after asking the club to allow him to depart if a suitable offer is received for his services.
According to The Sun, days before he informed the club of his desire to leave, Ronaldo received a significant bonus.
The report indicates that as soon as he entered the second year of his contract at the start of July, the 37-year-old received a six-figure sum.
Ronaldo took a pay cut to join United, but his two-year contract still contains a number of bonuses, which include image rights and monetary rewards for meeting certain goal targets.
The striker, who has one year left on his United deal, scored 24 goals in 38 appearances for the club last season.
