Report: Thiago Alcantara agrees Manchester United move

A report in Spain has claimed that Thiago Alcantara has decided to join Manchester United.

The Premier League champions have been heavily linked in recent weeks with the Barcelona midfielder, who is believed to have a release clause in his contract worth £17m.

Following a series of discussions, the 22-year-old has been given the assurances that he was after regarding starting appearances and so has opted for a switch to Old Trafford, according to Sport newspaper.

The report went on to claim that the transfer is likely to be concluded early next week.
