Report: Jose Mourinho to block Matteo Darmian exit

A report claims that Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho will not allow Italian defender Matteo Darmian to leave in the January transfer window.

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho will reportedly reject any approaches for Italian full-back Matteo Darmian.

It has been claimed that Chelsea have joined Juventus in the race for the 26-year-old, who is yet to feature for Man United this season due to Antonio Valencia seemingly nailing down the right-back spot for the Red Devils.

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is believed to be keen on bringing the defender to London, but according to The Mirror, Mourinho does not want to lose Darmian and will block any bids that arrive in the January transfer window.

Darmian, who is contracted to Man United until the summer of 2019, could make his first appearance of the season in Thursday's Europa League clash with Dutch side Feyenoord.
